I am a NYC stand up comedian, host, personality and character actor. Perfect for events that are looking for fun/silly entertainment. Can offer a range of dirty to clean comedy in any form. While the job of a comedian is to be funny, off stage I am a professional. Always on time, respectful, and prepared to perform for the specified event. While its my primary job to make people laugh, it is equally important to understand what a client is looking for and tailor my performance to meet those needs. No one wants clean jokes at a bachelor party... or maybe you do!
I look forward to working with you to make your next event fun, exciting and seamless.
He is absolutely hilarious start to finish. My friend spit out her drink. Hire this guy!
Chris is a career oriented comic that takes his job seriously. He is good at what he does and never rests on his laurels. I booked him for a show in Atlanta and he flew all the way from New York early to do research on Atlanta and test his material before the big show. His ability to adapt his jokes to the city speaks to him being the real pro that he is and he absolutely blew the audience away as a result. Book him!

1. Stand-Up: Entertaining guests with traditional stand up comedy. Fun, high energy, and always big laughs.
2. Hosting: Someone to run a variety or comedy show to keep the show moving and energy up between acts.
3. Characters: some events like to have people in character either on stage on mingling with the crowd. Very fun and different from stand up. Character examples: Stand Offish Santa Clause, Military Ant, Hungry Drunk Girl and more
4. Improvisational Comedy (long form): performed with a troupe of improvisers. Typically 3-5 people performing comedic scenes based on a one word suggestion from the audience.
5. Improvisational Comedy (short form): performed with a troupe of improvisers. Typically 3-5 people performing comedic bits and games in front of the crowd. Sometimes with crowd participation.
My name is Chris Metcalfe. I am a 32 year old stand up comedian, character actor, improviser and host. Originally from NJ and now living in NYC, my comedy is raw, silly, high energy and at times wild. All while staying relatable and never punching down to offend... unless you want me too, in which case, lets talk first.
I spent 4 years studying improv, sketch comedy and character work at Upright Citizens Brigade. Then another 4 years doing stand up comedy in clubs all around NYC; Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, West side Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Stand, QED, Upright Citizens Brigade and more!
Always looking to perform in front of diverse and new crowds!
I primarily perform stand up comedy which only requires a microphone/speaker (and maybe a stage). However if you're looking for improv comedy, characters or hosting, lets discuss the details to ensure we are all on the same page and prepared accordingly.
